St. Raphael - 60 / OLCS - 36
Both teams came out firing to begin the game. With both teams not giving an inch, it was a closely contested contest during the first quarter. With a few lead changes throughout the first quarter and neither team able to grasp the momentum, OLCS came out on top leading 12-10.
Second quarter has the same type of feel as the first. Both teams were shooting well and neither team was separating from their opposition by more than a couple points. Although OLCS went on a 4-0 run in the middle of the quarter, St. Raphael was able to bounce back quickly and cut the deficit to 3 points. With a 30 seconds left in the quarter, OLCS was able to beat the St. Raphael defense for one last shot and take the lead 26-23 at the end of the quarter.
St.Raphael came out firing to begin the third quarter and was able to string together a couple of good possessions to tie the game at 28 early. The momentum slowly started to shift St.Raphael's way and with a couple turnovers by OLCS, St. Raphael was able to capitalize and finish off their chances. St. Raphael went on a run deep into the third quarter taking a 10 point lead. Although OLCS began to get some stops on defense, St. Raphael came out of the quarter leading 42-32.
St.Raphael continued their offensive surge well into the fourth quarter. Patience seemed to be the name of the game for St. Raphael, and they were able to generate alot of points because of it. Although OLCS were resilient in not giving up easy shots, St. Raphael's offense proved to be on their A-game and came away with a 60-36 victory.
