St. Francis outlasts University School

Up and down, back and forth they went; both teams came out to play. The Prepper's of University School and the Cougars of St. Francis of Assisi duked it out on Court 2 to see who come out triumphant. Throughout an effortful and intense game, the Cougars left the court jubilant with their win, 28-21.

In the first quarter, the competition was almost even, with the score alternating between University School and St. Francis. In the second quarter, there was very similar play with University School ending the half on top with a score of 14-16.

St. Francis started the third quarter with vengeance, hoping to turn their one basket deficit into a lead. With their hustle and a sense of urgency, they did just that by ending the quarter 19-24. As they started the fourth quarter, both teams knew the battle wouldn't be easy. The Prepper's and the Cougars continued to go back and forth with scoring, keeping the fans on the edge of their seats. Despite the Prepper's feisty defense, the Cougars were able to move the ball successfully down the court in the last minutes of the game, securing the win. Mason Albano and Ethan Nowak led the team in points with 8 each. Rohan Sethi played an integral role in University's defense with 2 rebounds.
