OLPH Hits Cruise Control, Takes This Place

Our Lady of Perpetual Help got off to a blazing hot start. Within the first seven minutes of the opening quarter, OLPH went on a 12-0 run to open the game. #22 and #3 each had five points, igniting a big scoring day between the two.

Being down 12 points did not faze University School. US countered with a 9-0 run to close out the quarter. #3 for U-School topped off the scoring in the first quarter, by hitting a put-back shot at the buzzer. OLPH still led 12-9 at the end of the first.

At the start of the second quarter, OLPH went on yet another flame filled run. They outscored US 10-2, making the score 22-12 at the 5:37 mark in the second.

OLPH closed out the first half with an impressive 36-21 lead.

Anchored by #14 for University School, they were able to cut the lead to single digits with 41 seconds left in the third quarter. He had 17 of his team’s 38 points for US. At the end of the third quarter, OLPH led 49-40.

OLPH refused to give University School any hope, as they won the ball game 62-49.
