Georgie Forte missed her initial shot, but then grabbed the rebound and was able to score again for St. Paschal Baylon. Both teams were back an forth, capturing every rebound after each missed shot. Aaliyah Rhodes led her team in rebounds with three, in the first two quarters. Kiernan Bickar made the last basket in the first half, putting St. Paschal Baylon at only a two point deficit against Metro Catholic at half.
St. Paschal Baylon came out with intensity in the second half, wanting to take away the lead from Metro Catholic. Fahness Freeman scored early in the second half for Metro Catholic. Georgie Forte used that as fuel, and scored a basket for St. Paschal shortly after, closing the deficit at just one basket. Mykalah Melton added to that deficit, putting up another basket for Metro Catholic, making the score 18-14. With continued hustle, both teams kept up their energy from the first half, not giving up. After a nail biter of a fourth quarter, St. Paschal Baylon took the lead and ran with it, winning over Metro Catholic, 29-25.
