Our Lady of the Lake takes on St. Francis of Assisi in a 7th Grade match-up.
It was a slow start to the game, with the Cougars up after a first quarter score of just 11-4. Bruno Cook and Joe Locker had 9 of the Cougars's 11 points. The Falcons knew that they had to give themselves better chances to get the ball in the hoop going forward.
The ball finally got rolling in the second quarter, as the Falcons took the lead with a halftime score of 20-13. Guy Dominick and Devontey Perkins put up a fight for their Falcons, especially. Dominick had 10 total points, and 6 rebounds by halftime, and Perkins added 8 boards and 6 points.
The game continued to move quickly in the second half, as the score remained close. Notable players were Bruno Cook (13) and Joe Locker (11), who led the offense at St. Francis of Assisi.
However, Our Lady of the Lake played strong defense in the fourth quarter, which contributed to their win. Guy Dominick (16) and Devontey Perkins (11) led OLL offensively with quick ball movements and consistent passes to the post.
The final score was 39-35, and Our Lady of the Lake took home the victory.
