St. Francis started the game hot with an 8-0 run before a Holy Trinity timeout. Holy Trinity finished out the first quarter strong behind five points from Cristian Perez. St. Francis was led by Emon Everett who had 11 points in the first quarter.
At the half St. Francis held onto a slim lead up 27-26. Emon Everett played well in the paint with 14 rebounds and an equal amount of points.
Holy Trinity's zone defense forced long possessions by the Lions who eventually were able to capitalize. Consecutive defensive stops from St. Francis put them ahead of the Eagles, 39-27 in the middle of the third quarter.
Michael Johnson had himself a quarter with a strong finish and the and-one nearing the end of the third quarter. The Lions still held the lead 46-32 heading into the fourth.
The Lions were able to hold their lead and finish with a 60-46 win over Holy trinity
