In a back and forth contest, Gesu was able to pull away thanks to some gritty defense and clutch shooting.
Leading the way for Gesu was guard, number 32 Aubrey who had 10 points, 9 of which came from three. She also lead Gesu with 7 rebounds on the afternoon.
St. Francis was lead by Madeleine who had 14 points and was 4 of 7 inside the arc. She cashed in with six free throws as well. Kieran had a big day on the glass with 12 rebounds, 6 on both ends.
St. Francis had a chance to tie the game in the final seconds but their layup was blocked and Gesu escaped with the win.
