St. Mark Wallops Gesu 46-10

The first half was fast from the get go, with both teams trading blows back and forth. St. Mark ended the first quarter with a 14-2 lead. 

Gesu would battle back in the second quarter though, as the Bulldogs would cut the deficit to 10 halfway through the quarter. 

St. Mark would gain back some momentum late in the quarter, and would give themselves a 17 point lead at halftime. 

For the Lions, Tom Schmidt led the way with 10 points at the end of the first half. James Boylan ended the half with 3 points and 4 rebounds, and Evan Lentz ended the half with 2 points and 5 rebounds. 

For Gesu, Jerome Bohanon ended the half with 4 points, and Patrick Murphy finished the half with 6 rebounds. 

To start the third quarter, Lentz would get the Lions off to a quick start with an easy layup in transition. 

Later on in the quarter, the Lions would continue to keep the pressure on defensively with a running clock. Bob LoPresti found himself on the charity stripe and split his free throws. Late in the third LoPresti had 5 points and 4 rebounds. 

At the end of the third quarter, St. Mark was ahead 34-9. 

In the fourth quarter, KiShawn Brown was racking up buckets, as he increased his total to 7 points and 9 rebounds on the day. 

The game ended with St. Mark’s taking home a 46-10 win. 

For the Lions, Tom Schmidt  and Rocco Walton ended the game with 10 points each.

For Gesu, Patrick Murphy ended the game with 6 rebounds, and Jerome Bohanon ended the game with 4 points.
